Riyadh, March 1 (SANA) Saudi Arabia on Sunday condemned in the strongest terms the Iranian aggression on Oman, calling it a blatant violation of Omani sovereignty.
In a statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi Foreign Ministry affirmed Riyadh’s full solidarity with Oman and stressed that the Kingdom stands ready to provide all necessary support for any measures Oman chooses to take in response.
The statement warned of the consequences of Iran’s continued violations of regional states’ sovereignty, saying such actions undermine the security and stability of the Middle East.
It also urged the international community to take firm and concrete measures against Iranian transgressions.
Earlier Sunday, Omani authorities said two drones targeted Duqm Port on the country’s southeastern coast, marking the first such incident in the Sultanate.
Since Saturday, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait have come under Iranian missile and drone attacks, following U.S.- Israeli joint strikes on Iran.
