Erdogan stresses to Putin importance of cooperation to achieve stability in Syria

Ankara, SANA-Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin today the importance of Turkey and Russia working together to achieve lasting peace and stability in Syria based on its territorial integrity.

The Turkish presidency stated in a post on the X platform that Erdogan stressed during a phone call with Putin “the need to leave Syria’s resources to the Syrian administration,”.

President Erdogan said that Turkey supports the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces into Syrian State institutions.

He noted that the two countries can cooperate to fully lift sanctions on Syria and confront efforts aimed at undermining its unity and inciting strife within it.
