Saudi, Jordanian Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments

Riyad, June 16 (SANA)  Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan held a phone call on Monday with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, to discuss developments in the region following the recently announced ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on its account on platform X that the two ministers also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest during their call.

The discussions came after Washington and Tehran announced on Sunday that they had reached an agreement, brokered by Pakistan, to end military operations, reopen the Strait of Hormuz and lift the naval blockade on Iran.

According to the announcement, the agreement is scheduled to be signed in Switzerland next Friday.
