Occupied Jerusalem, May 16 ( SANA)– Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of attacks on Palestinians in various areas of the West Bank, including raids, arrests, and destruction of property, claiming the life of one Palestinian and arresting four others.
Palestinian News Agency “WAFA” reported Saturday that Israeli forces stormed Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank and opened fire at a Palestinian young man who was attempting to enter the camp, killing him. This brings the number of Palestinians killed during the Israeli assault on the city of Jenin and its camp since January 21, 2025, to 65.
In Nablus, Israeli forces raided Palestinian homes in the villages of Zawata and Tell and arrested three residents. Another Palestinian was arrested after being assaulted in Shuafat refugee camp northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli forces also entered city of Qalqilya, Tubas city , and the town of Tammun to the south, where they raided and searched several homes. Meanwhile, Israeli settlers vandalized a number of Palestinian properties in the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah.
Yesterday, Palestinian Prisoner’s Club announced that Israeli authorities have arrested around 23,000 Palestinians from the West Bank since the start of the war on Gaza in October 2023, including women, children, wounded individuals, and former prisoners.
According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and settlers carried out 1,637 attacks during last April, targeting Palestinians and their lands.
