Washington, June 11 (SANA) U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday the U.S. military would attack Iran “very hard tonight” and vowed that Washington would eventually take control of key Iranian oil and gas infrastructure, including Kharg Island.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said an operation to “assume total control” of Iran’s energy infrastructure and oil and gas markets would take place “at some point in the not too distant future.”

Trump said the United States would take over Iran’s “oil infrastructure points,” including Kharg Island, one of the country’s main oil export terminals.

He compared the planned action to U.S. operations in Venezuela, which he said were “working out brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America.”

The comments represent a significant escalation in U.S. rhetoric toward Iran and come amid renewed exchanges of attacks between Washington and Tehran, raising concerns about regional stability and global energy supplies.
