Berlin, March 30 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa held talks with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at Bellevue Palace in Berlin on Monday, discussing bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation across various sectors.
The meeting, attended by Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, Economy Minister Nidal al-Shaar and Energy Minister Mohammad al-Bashir, focused on strengthening ties in a manner that serves the shared interests of the Syrian and German peoples.
Both sides expressed keenness to broaden cooperation and enhance engagement in multiple fields.
Earlier Monday, President al-Sharaa was received by President Steinmeier at the presidential palace in the German capital ahead of the talks.
President al-Sharaa arrived in Berlin on Sunday, leading a high-level ministerial delegation on his first official visit to Germany.
