Ankara, June 11 (SANA) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed bilateral relations and a number of regional and international issues with his German counterpart Johann Wadephul during a phone call on Thursday.
According to sources at the Turkish Foreign Ministry, cited by Anadolu Agency, the two ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and reviewed preparations for the upcoming NATO summit scheduled to be held in Ankara on July 7-8.
The talks also addressed developments in ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran as part of efforts aimed at reaching a ceasefire, amid differing assessments of the progress of the talks.
The discussions come amid intensified diplomatic activity ahead of the NATO summit and growing international attention to regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic efforts to contain the repercussions of the U.S.–Israeli–Iranian war and support the negotiation process between Washington and Tehran.
