Beirut, June 3 (SANA) Seventeen people were killed and at least 35 others injured on Tuesday in a series of Israeli air and drone strikes targeting the Tyre district in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health said an Israeli airstrike on the town of Maaroub killed four people, including a paramedic from the Islamic Health Authority, and wounded five others, including another paramedic.

Another strike on the town of Abbassiyeh killed three people, including a Syrian national, and injured one other person, while an Israeli airstrike on Tayr Debba killed four people and wounded two others.

In a separate development, Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported that an Israeli drone strike on al-Mayadeen Road in the al-Housh area killed four Syrian nationals. Another drone strike on the Maamoura–al-Housh road killed two Palestinian nationals.

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health said 13 staff members at Hiram Hospital in the city of Tyre were injured when an Israeli strike hit an area adjacent to the hospital, causing extensive damage to the facility.

Four Syrians and two Palestinians were killed and two others injured in another Israeli drone strike on the al-Housh area.

The Emergency Operations Center of Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health announced on Tuesday that the cumulative toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 had risen to 3,468 dead and 10,577 wounded.
