Only hours earlier, two people were killed and 23 others wounded in Israeli strikes targeting the city of Tyre and several towns in southern Lebanon.
The attacks came despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement late on Monday of an agreement aimed at reducing tensions and securing a ceasefire in Lebanon.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, the death toll from Israeli strikes on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 3,433, with 10,395 people injured.
