Capitals, June 1 (SANA) Kuwait and the Arab Parliament on Monday condemned Israel’s military operations in Lebanon, including a large-scale ground incursion into southern Lebanon.
In a statement posted on X, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the continued military escalation by Israel, saying the extensive ground operation endangered civilian lives and constituted a flagrant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty, security and stability.
The ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s longstanding support for Lebanon’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Meanwhile, Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi strongly condemned the Israeli attacks, accusing Israel of targeting civilians and densely populated areas and causing extensive damage to critical infrastructure and vital facilities across Lebanon.
Al Yamahi described the actions as flagrant violations of international law and the United Nations Charter.
He warned of the dangers posed by what he described as ongoing Israeli war crimes and violations and called on the international community and the U.N. Security Council to intervene immediately to halt the attacks and ensure compliance with U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701.
Al Yamahi also expressed the Arab Parliament’s full solidarity with Lebanon, reaffirming support for its sovereignty and territorial integrity and for the efforts of Lebanese state institutions to preserve security, maintain stability and extend state authority throughout the country.
The statements came amid continued Israeli military operations in Lebanon and growing regional concern over the risk of further escalation. On Sunday, Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health announced that the death toll from Israeli strikes on Lebanon since March 2 had risen to 3,412, with 10,269 people injured.
