Beirut, May 31 (SANA) Two people were killed and four others wounded in multiple Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon late Saturday, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA).
The agency reported that an Israeli drone strike on the town of Jebchit in Nabatieh Governorate killed one person, while a separate strike on the nearby town of Ansar killed a paramedic and injured four others.
Israeli aircraft also struck areas near Al-Najda Hospital in Nabatieh and Sheikh Ragheb Harb University Hospital in the town of Toul, causing significant damage to the facilities and nearby commercial properties, the NNA said.
Additional airstrikes and artillery shelling were reported in several towns and villages across southern Lebanon, including Mifdoun, Arnoun, Kfartebnit, Deir Al-Zahrani and Aishiyeh.
Lebanese media also reported phosphorus shelling in woodland areas near Ali Al-Taher.
Earlier on Saturday, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said the death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 had risen to 3,371.
Israeli military operations have continued in various parts of Lebanon despite a ceasefire announced in April, according to Lebanese authorities.
