Beirut, May 1 (SANA), The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said on Thursday that several people were killed, including a soldier, and several others were injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting towns in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the ministry’s Emergency Operations Center said six people were killed in an Israeli strike on the town of Zabadin in the Nabatieh district.
It added that a girl was killed and three others, including a child, were injured in a separate strike on the town of Harouf in the same district.
The Lebanese Army said on X that one soldier and several members of his family were killed in an Israeli strike that hit their home in the town of Kafr Ruman in Nabatieh.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes and drones carried out more than 70 strikes on the Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts in southern and central sectors, alongside artillery shelling in the area.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said earlier that the death toll from Israeli strikes since March 2 had risen to 2,586, with 8,020 people wounded.
