Manama, April. 28 (SANA) Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and Panama’s Foreign Minister Javier Martínez-Acha discussed on Tuesday the potential impact of tensions in the Strait of Hormuz on maritime navigation and global trade.
According to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the discussion took place during a phone call in which the two ministers reviewed regional developments and the possible implications for international shipping routes and energy flows.
The ministers also exchanged views on strengthening coordination through their current membership in the United Nations Security Council, particularly on issues related to maintaining international peace and security.
The talks come amid growing concerns in global markets over possible disruptions to one of the world’s most critical oil transit routes.
Separately, Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa discussed ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East and ensure the security of maritime navigation.
