Occupied Jerusalem, May 16 (SANA) The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,757, with 172,645 injured since October 7, 2023.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, medical sources reported on Saturday that hospitals in Gaza received 13 bodies over the past 24 hours, including one victim who succumbed to previous injuries, in addition to 57 wounded.

The sources added that the number of casualties since the ceasefire declared on October 11 has reached 870 killed and 2,543 injured, while 771 bodies have been recovered.

They noted that a number of victims remain trapped under rubble or in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams are unable to access them due to ongoing conditions on the ground.

Medical sources also reported the death of a Palestinian following a building collapse, bringing the total number of deaths caused by collapsing structures to 30.

On Friday, seven Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting a residential apartment and a vehicle in Gaza City.
