Doha, April 20 (SANA) The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announced Monday the gradual resumption of operations by foreign airlines to the country following recent disruptions linked to regional tensions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the authority said in a statement that the decision came after a comprehensive assessment of the situation and coordination with relevant entities to ensure readiness and operational efficiency.

The authority added that all flights and operational activities will proceed in line with internationally approved safety and security standards, with measures in place to protect passengers and aviation personnel.

Air traffic across the Gulf region had experienced significant disruption in recent weeks, including widespread flight suspensions, as a result of regional conflict, during which Iran carried out attcks on several countries in the region.

These disruptions led to airspace closures, flight cancellations and delays, passenger congestion and rerouted flights, contributing to financial losses for airlines.
