Muscat, Apr. 16 (SANA) Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq and Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed on Thursday the latest regional developments and their implications for security, stability, and economic interests.

During their meeting at Al Baraka Palace in the capital Muscat, the two leaders emphasized the need to reach a final settlement to the ongoing US-Israeli-Iranian war and address the crisis at its roots, according to the Oman News Agency.

They also stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, safeguarding maritime transport flows and maintaining stable energy supplies.

Earlier in the day, the Qatari Amir held talks with Shehbaz Sharif, during which they reviewed regional and international developments, particularly those related to the Middle East.
