Doha, April 16 (SANA) Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met on Thursday with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss regional and international developments, with a focus on the situation in the Middle East.
The Amiri Diwan said in a statement that the emir stressed the importance of supporting de-escalation efforts and strengthening diplomatic dialogue to promote regional peace and stability.
Sharif condemned attacks targeting Qatar and other countries in the region, reaffirming Pakistan’s solidarity with Doha and its support for measures aimed at safeguarding its sovereignty and security.
Both sides emphasized the need to advance de-escalation and enhance international coordination to ensure regional stability, while highlighting the importance of maintaining the flow of energy supplies through key maritime routes.
