Kuwait City/Amman, March 31 (SANA) Kuwait and Jordan condemned a foiled terrorist plot aimed at destabilizing Bahrain, affirming their support for measures to safeguard its sovereignty and security.
Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly denounced the “heinous terrorist plot,” which investigations indicated had external links to Hezbollah. It reiterated Kuwait’s solidarity with Bahrain and its rejection of terrorism in all forms and its support for maintaining security across Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the plot, stressing full solidarity with Bahrain and rejecting actions that threaten its security and stability. It affirmed support for measures to protect citizens and residents and reiterated its opposition to all forms of violence and terrorism.
The statements followed Bahrain’s announcement of the arrest of three individuals linked to a terrorist cell with ties to Hezbollah, coordinating with external operatives and planning activities that threaten national security.
