Amman, March 29 (SANA) King Abdullah II of Jordan and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a joint condemnation on Sunday regarding the continued Iranian military strikes against Arab nations, including the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The high-level meeting in Amman focused on the deteriorating security landscape in the Middle East and the urgent need for a diplomatic resolution to the current regional hostilities.
According to a statement from the Royal Hashemite Court, King Abdullah II emphasized the absolute necessity of respecting state sovereignty. He called for intensified international efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable calm through diplomatic channels, warning that a prolonged conflict would only deepen the economic burdens facing both the region and the global community.
President Zelenskyy, for his part, strongly denounced the Iranian missile and drone attacks that have targeted Jordan and other regional states. He stressed the importance of restoring stability to the Middle East, noting that global security is interconnected.
The meeting comes as Iran continues to launch aerial assaults across several Arab territories, resulting in civilian casualties and significant damage to critical infrastructure. These attacks are a primary driver of the military escalation currently defining the three-way war between the United States, Israel, and Iran, which ignited on February 28.
