Doha, March 28 (SANA) – Qatar and Ukraine signed a defense cooperation agreement on Saturday aimed at strengthening collaboration on missile and drone defense during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Doha.
According to Qatar’s Ministry of Defense, cited by Agence France-Presse, the pact covers technological cooperation, joint project development, defense investments, and the exchange of expertise in systems designed to counter missiles and drones.
The agreement comes amid rising regional tensions and ongoing Iranian attacks on Qatar and other countries, alongside escalating conflict in the Middle East, which has increased security challenges related to modern warfare technologies.
Earlier on Saturday, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President Zelensky discussed the latest security developments and their regional implications during talks in Doha.
