Jeddah, March 28 (SANA) The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Saturday condemned Israel’s seizure of 15 Palestinian homes in the Silwan neighborhood of East Jerusalem, calling it a violation of international law.
In a statement, the OIC General Secretariat said the move constituted an assault on the rights of Palestinians and their presence in the city.
The group warned that property confiscations and the displacement of Palestinian families mark a “dangerous escalation” and reflect systematic policies aimed at changing the demographic character of the occupied Jerusalem.
It added that measures related to annexation, settlement expansion, and the assertion of Israeli sovereignty over occupied Palestinian territories are “null and void” under international law.
The OIC called on the international community to take urgent steps to halt such actions and urged governments and international bodies to uphold their legal obligations to protect civilians and property.
The statement comes amid ongoing Israeli operations in the West Bank, including raids, arrests and home demolitions, which rights groups say have contributed to displacement and the expansion of settlements.
