Türkiye, Pakistan reaffirm efforts to support regional stability
Türkiye and Pakistan discuss regional developments and de-escalation efforts during a phone call

ANKARA, May 27 (SANA)  Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed the latest regional and international developments during a phone call, reaffirming support for efforts aimed at reducing tensions and strengthening stability in the region.

According to a statement issued Tuesday by the Turkish Presidency’s Communications Directorate and published on the Turkish “NSosyal” platform, Erdoğan said Türkiye and Pakistan would continue efforts aimed at ending ongoing conflicts and promoting peace and stability across the region.

The Turkish president described mediation efforts aimed at ending the US-Israeli-Iranian conflict as “valuable” and expressed hope that negotiations would produce positive results.

Pakistan has been leading mediation efforts between Washington and Tehran following the conflict that erupted on February 28 after attacks launched by the United States and Israel against Iran.

A temporary ceasefire was later reached on April 8.
