Beirut, March 18 (SANA) Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas across Lebanon late Tuesday killed 10 people and injured eight others, Lebanese official sources said.
Lebanon’s Emergency Operations Centre said four people were killed and seven wounded in strikes on Baalbek. Separate air raids on a residential building in Habboush and a home in Qanarit left six others dead and one injured.
Rescue teams were continuing to search for eight people reported missing under the rubble.
The strikes come amid intensifying hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah militia. Cross-border exchanges over the past two weeks have led to near-daily Israeli air raids on Beirut’s southern suburbs, as well as parts of southern and eastern Lebanon.
The situation has further escalated following Israel’s recent ground invasion of southern Lebanon, marking a more dangerous phase in the conflict.
