Occupied Jerusalem, July 20 (SANA) The death toll from Israel’s military offensive in the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,283, with 173,864 people injured since the war began on Oct. 7, 2023, the Palestinian Health Ministry said on Monday.
The ministry, quoted by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, said hospitals in Gaza had received three bodies and 22 wounded people over the past 24 hours.
It said 1,158 people have been killed and 3,756 injured since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10 last year.
The ministry added that a number of victims remain trapped under rubble and in the streets, with ambulance and rescue crews unable to reach them.
Separately, two Palestinians were killed and three others wounded earlier on Monday after Israeli settlers attacked the town of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah, in the West Bank. Israeli forces also detained five Palestinians in the city of Qalqilya.
