Riyadh, March 17 (SANA) The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on Tuesday strongly condemned continued Iranian attacks on its member states, which led to the death of one person and injuries to others in the United Arab Emirates after a missile struck a civilian vehicle in al-Bahia, Abu Dhabi.
In a statement issued Tuesday, GCC Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi said that “the continuation of these Iranian attacks reflects a hostile approach toward GCC countries and constitutes a blatant violation of the principles of good neighborliness and all international laws and norms.”
Al-Budaiwi also expressed the GCC’s full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and its support for all measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security and stability.
Earlier on Tuesday, UAE authorities announced that one person was killed due to falling debris in the Bani Yas area after air defenses intercepted a ballistic missile. They also reported that their air defense systems had repelled missile and drone attacks launched from Iran.
Authorities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi had announced on Monday, the death of one person after a missile struck a civilian vehicle in the Al Bahia area.
Iran continues missile and drone attacks on several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, causing casualties and infrastructure damage, amid escalating regional tensions linked to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
