Manama, March 16 (SANA) The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force announced on Monday that its air defense systems have intercepted and destroyed 129 missiles and 215 drones since the beginning of Iranian attacks on the kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the command said in a statement that the air defense systems of the Bahrain Defence Force, thanks to the vigilance of its personnel in confronting Iranian attacks, managed to intercept and destroy 129 missiles and 215 drones since the attacks began.
The command urged the public to exercise maximum caution to ensure their safety, avoid damaged areas and any suspicious objects, refrain from photographing military operations or sites where debris has fallen, and avoid spreading rumors while relying on official sources for information.
It stressed that the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian sites and private property constitutes a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, warning that such indiscriminate attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
Iran continues launching missile and drone attacks on several Arab countries, including Bahrain, causing casualties and material damage to infrastructure as part of the military escalation in the region following the US and Israeli strikes on Iran.
