Cairo, March 12 (SANA) The Arab Parliament on Thursday welcomed a UN Security Council resolution condemning Iranian attacks on Gulf states and Jordan, saying the move reflects international rejection of such actions.
Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed al-Yamahi said targeting civilian facilities and residential areas constitutes a violation of international law and poses a threat to regional and global security.
“The security and sovereignty of Arab states are red lines that cannot be compromised,” al-Yamahi said in a statement.
He added that the adoption of Resolution 2817 marks an important step toward strengthening stability in the region.
The resolution, submitted by several Gulf states and Jordan, condemns the Iranian attacks as violations of international law and threats to international peace and security
