Manama, March 5 (SANA) Bahrain’s air defense systems have intercepted and destroyed 75 missiles and 123 drones targeting the kingdom since the start of Iranian attacks, the Bahrain Defense Force said Thursday.
In a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the General Command said its forces remain fully prepared and maintain a high level of operational readiness to protect the country’s airspace.
Authorities urged residents to remain indoors unless necessary, avoid damaged areas and refrain from photographing military operations or sites where debris has fallen. The command also called on the public to rely on official sources and government media for information.
The statement said the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian facilities and private property constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, and poses a direct threat to regional peace and security.
Iran has continued launching missile and drone attacks on several Arab countries, causing casualties and infrastructure damage, following U.S. and Israeli military strikes on Iran that began last Saturday.
