US Central Command says all Iranian vessels in Gulf of Oman destroyed

Washington, March 3 (SANA) – The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Tuesday that it had destroyed all 11 Iranian vessels previously operating in the Gulf of Oman.

In a post on the social media platform X, CENTCOM stated that “two days ago Iran had 11 vessels in the Gulf of Oman; today it has none,” adding that Tehran had for decades threatened and disrupted international navigation in the area.

The command said ongoing US military operations have also targeted Iranian Revolutionary Guard command and control centers, air defense systems, and missile and drone launch sites.

CENTCOM further accused Iran of using mobile launch platforms to fire what it described as indiscriminate missiles, pledging continued action against threats originating from Tehran.

Joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran have continued since Saturday, while Tehran has escalated missile and drone attacks against several Arab states, targeting infrastructure, civilian and diplomatic facilities, as well as energy installations.
