Manama, Mar. 2 (SANA) – Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held a phone call Sunday with US President Donald Trump to discuss regional developments, particularly the Iranian attacks targeting Bahraini territory.

According to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), President Trump condemned the Iranian strikes during the call and affirmed Washington’s support for Bahrain and its measures aimed at safeguarding its sovereignty, security and stability.

Trump also reiterated the United States’ commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Bahrain in ways that serve mutual interests and reinforce ties between the two countries.

For his part, King Hamad highlighted the longstanding relations between Bahrain and the United States across various fields, expressing appreciation for Washington’s supportive stance toward the kingdom.

Several countries, including Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Jordan, have faced Iranian missile and drone attacks following the joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran.
