Damascus, April 25 (SANA) The 12th edition of the Syria HiTech information and communications technology exhibition will open on Tuesday at the Damascus Fairgrounds, featuring 150 companies representing 345 brands from 45 Arab and foreign countries.

Organized by the Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences and Ibda’a for Exhibitions and Conferences, the event will showcase technologies and applications in IT, internet services, smart cities, e-government, and electronic payment systems, along with mobile devices, laptops, and other ICT products. It will also host research centers and universities alongside industrial and government entities.

Exhibition Director Hala al-Sharbaji told SANA that the event, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, aims to provide a platform for local, Arab, and international companies to present their products and explore the Syrian market. She said it also seeks to facilitate business deals, exchange expertise, and support digital transformation efforts in Syria.

She added that this year’s edition reflects growing regional and international interest in Syria’s ICT sector, with expanded participation and a diverse range of exhibitors.

According to the organizers, 20 international companies from Saudi Arabia, China, Lebanon, Oman, Jordan, and the United States are taking part, alongside local and Arab participants. The exhibition will run across 136 pavilions until May 1, with visiting hours from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Free transportation will be provided for visitors from various locations in Damascus.
