Istanbul, SANA-The Turkish airline Anadolu Jet inaugurated on Tuesday its first direct flight from Sabiha Gökçen International Airport in Istanbul to Damascus.
According to the Anadolu News Agency, a special ceremony was held at the airport to mark the occasion prior to the departure of the inaugural flight. Attendees included Halil Uçar, the Administrative Director of Sabiha Airport; Kemal Yüksel, Director General of Turkish Civil Aviation; Faruk Kacır, Head of the Sabiha Airport Authority; and Kerem Sarıp, General Manager of AnadoluJet.
Following the ceremony, the aircraft departed for Damascus, marking the airline’s first official flight to the Syrian capital.
