Syria, Germany discuss developing the health sector

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Health, Dr. Musab al-Ali, discussed Thursday with a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation, headed by the agency’s director in Syria, Tatia Loman, ways to develop the health sector and support the efforts, stability, and rehabilitation of the health sector in Syria.Syria, Germany discuss developing the health sector

During the meeting, the needs of the health sector were discussed, as well as contributions to developing systems and mechanisms for providing more sustainable health services.

Minister al-Ali said that the ministry is working according to an emergency plan to reconstruct health facilities, build human capabilities, and expand companies with foreign hospitals and universities.

Loman affirmed the ministry’s support for its efforts to rehabilitate the health sector, by focusing on improving healthcare services, training staff, and supporting emergency and referral systems, with a focus on psychosocial support.
