Syrian-Dutch discussions in Geneva focus on advancing Syria’s healthcare sector

Geneva, SANA-Syrian Minister of Health, Dr. Musab al-Ali, met with a delegation from the Permanent Mission of the Netherlands in Geneva to explore ways to develop Syria’s healthcare sector.

During their meeting, held on the sidelines of the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva, both sides discussed mechanisms to enhance cooperation in epidemiological surveillance and the exchange of health information. These efforts aim to protect public health and ensure a joint, effective response to cross-border health threats.

The two parties emphasized the importance of continuous coordination and the activation of technical collaboration channels to strengthen health security efforts and improve health indicators at both national and international levels.

The 78th World Health Assembly commenced on May 19 in Geneva under the theme “One World for Health” and will continue until May 27.
