The talks, held at the ministry’s headquarters in Damascus in the presence of Hazem Baqleh, head of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, focused on improving access to healthcare services and addressing current challenges.

Al-Ali underscored the need for close coordination with humanitarian partners to deliver emergency health services effectively and allocate resources to priority areas.

He said the ministry has expanded emergency response programs, including psychological support services in hospitals and health centers, as well as training specialized medical staff in response to growing demand.

The IFRC, headquartered in Geneva, is the world’s largest humanitarian network, comprising 191 national societies. It provides technical expertise, funding and equipment to strengthen disaster and crisis response and alleviate human suffering.
