Kuwait City, June 8 (SANA) Kuwait announced on Wednesday that its air defenses had intercepted hostile missile and drone attacks.
The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army said in a statement on the X platform: “If explosions are heard, they are the result of the air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks.” It called on everyone to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities.
Meanwhile, maritime security sources revealed on Tuesday that a Saudi-flagged crude oil tanker had sustained damage near the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of the Sultanate of Oman. Kuwait strongly condemned the Iranian targeting of the tanker and reaffirmed its firm stance in support of the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, rejecting any attack that threatens its security or endangers its interests and capabilities.
