Damascus, Jan. 19 (SANA) The Syrian Ministry of Health signed three cooperation agreements on Sunday with Al-Ameen Organization to expand and improve healthcare services in several provinces.
The agreements cover the provision of medical services in 80 health facilities in Aleppo, Hama, Homs and Idleb, the establishment of an advanced healthcare center in Qudsaya in Rural Damascus, and the construction of an advanced center and outpatient clinics in Al-Qusayr, Homs Province.
The projects will deliver around 920 medical services through 956 medical and support staff, including primary healthcare, dialysis, physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry, Dr. Zuhair Al-Qarrat, said the agreements are expected to benefit nearly one million people as part of efforts to expand health coverage nationwide.
Executive Director of Al-Ameen Organization, Dr. Moawia Harssouni, said the agreements took effect immediately, noting that work has already begun in several centers.
Al-Ameen Organization is a nonprofit humanitarian NGO founded in 2012, in response to the needs of those affected by the Syrian humanitarian crises.
