Damascus, May 3 (SANA) The “World Robot Olympiad Learn (WRO) Learn” platform is providing an integrated digital learning environment to support robotics education and prepare students for participation in international competitions, officials said.
Head of the Commission for Excellence and Creativity, Shadi al-Azmeh, told SANA that the platform, developed under the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), is designed to meet the needs of students, teachers, trainers, and competition judges by offering ready-to-use educational materials and training resources.
He explained that the platform enables users to progress from basic to advanced levels in robotics, while building skills in artificial intelligence, programming, engineering, logical thinking, and problem-solving through an interactive environment combining courses, practical projects, and assessments.
Supporting learning and competition readiness
Head of the Scientific Committee for Robotics at the commission, Muheeb al-Naqari, said the platform offers step-by-step guidance and structured training content that combines theoretical learning with practical application.
He noted that it allows users to learn robot design and programming, practice solving challenges, and prepare for international competitions, while tracking progress and earning certified digital certificates.
Al-Naqari added that the platform includes hands-on activities designed to develop problem-solving skills, flexible learning paths suited to different levels, and specialized content aligned with various categories of the World Robot Olympiad.
The “WRO Learn” platform is a free global educational initiative developed by the World Robot Olympiad Association with support from Saudi Aramco, offering multilingual courses and tools for students, teachers, and trainers of all experience levels.
