The new season of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad began on Saturday, with around 3,000 students competing in subjects including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and informatics.
The first round of exams was held simultaneously at university centers across the country.
Top scorers will advance to the next stages in December and January, aiming to qualify for Syria’s national teams in international competitions.
