Damascus, SANA-Chairman of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce, Issam al-Ghraywati, met Monday with Abdullah Lootah, UAE Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange, to explore ways to enhance trade and knowledge cooperation between the two countries in the coming phase.

During the meeting, both sides discussed Syria’s current economic situation and future visions for advancing the commercial and investment sectors. They emphasized the private sector’s role in supporting recovery and reconstruction, as well as expanding partnerships with Arab and friendly countries.

Al-Ghraywati expressed appreciation for the visit, highlighting its aim to strengthen ties and cooperation between the brotherly Syrian and Emirati peoples. He affirmed the chamber’s commitment to fostering international collaboration and creating an attractive investment environment.

For his part, Lootah stressed the importance of attracting businessmen and investors from around the world to Syria and voiced his dedication to institutional cooperation between Damascus Chamber of Commerce and its counterpart in Dubai.

Lootah promised to arrange a meeting soon between the boards of both chambers in Dubai to establish direct trade channels and provide necessary support for Syrian businessmen, as part of the broader partnership and economic integration between Syria and the UAE.
