Damascus, July 30 (SANA) The 14th International Motor Show 2026 opened Thursday at Damascus New Fairgrounds in the presence of Transport Minister, Yarub Badr, and Culture Minister, Mohammad Yassin al-Saleh.
46 local, Arab and international companies take part in the exhibition that will run through Aug. 2.
It includes the launching of vehicle models and automotive brands entering the Syrian market for the first time, a comprehensive road safety awareness campaign, and displays of the latest vehicle maintenance technologies, workshop equipment, automobiles and motorcycles.
Transport Minister, Yarub Badr, said that the 14th International Motor Show 2026 featured the signing of the Charter for the Protection of Children from Road Traffic Accidents as part of an integrated awareness campaign aimed at promoting road safety culture.
Speaking to SANA during the opening of the exhibition, Badr said the charter is part of a joint program between the ministry and relevant authorities. The program also includes the declaration of 2026 as the Year of Road Safety improvement activities.
