Damascus, May 11 (SANA) The first Syrian-Emirati Investment Forum opened on Monday in Damascus, bringing together government officials and business leaders from Syria and the United Arab Emirates to discuss expanding economic cooperation and investment opportunities.

The forum, organized by the Syrian Investment Authority at the Ebla Cham Hotel in the Damascus countryside, aims to strengthen economic partnership and broaden cooperation in development and production sectors between the two countries.

The event includes discussion sessions involving officials and investors from both sides focused on potential business partnerships and investment opportunities across a range of sectors.

Topics under discussion include trade and investment, education, financial services, tourism, real estate, urban development, agriculture, food security, energy, aviation, logistics, healthcare, technology and digital transformation.

The Emirati delegation includes UAE Foreign Trade Minister Thani bin Ahmed al‑Zeyoudi and President of General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, Omar Habtoor Al‑Darai, who arrived in Damascus on Sunday.
The forum comes amid broader efforts by Syria and the UAE to expand economic engagement and private-sector cooperation.
