Syria condemns drone attack on UAE, affirms solidarity
Damascus rejects threats to regional stability following attacks on UAE oil facilities - SANA

Damascus, May 5 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Republic on Tuesday condemned the targeting of the territory of the United Arab Emirates by Iranian drones.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed Syria’s full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and its firm rejection of any act that threatens regional security and stability.

The statement reiterated Syria’s principled position calling for respect for international law and the Charter of the United Nations, foremost among them the respect for state sovereignty.

Earlier on Monday, Iranian attacks targeted oil facilities in the Emirate of Fujairah, injuring three people, while an ADNOC oil tanker was struck by projectiles north of the Emirate.

Syria stressed the need to deter such aggressions and uphold stability in the region, reaffirming that violations of sovereignty undermine security and threaten international peace.
