Damascus, May 8 (SANA) Director General of the Syrian Investment Authority Talal al-Hilali discussed with Yemen’s Charge d’Affaires in Damascus, Mohammad Baakar ways to enhance bilateral relations in trade and investment fields.
During the meeting held on Thursday at the Investment Authority’s headquarters in Damascus, the two sides reviewed prospects for developing economic partnership and available investment opportunities, as well as final arrangements for the upcoming Syrian-Yemeni investment forum scheduled to be held in Damascus in the coming period.
Al-Hilali welcomed the convening of the forum, stressing the importance of strengthening economic partnership and the investment environment between the two countries, particularly in light of opportunities related to development and reconstruction, and affirmed readiness to provide necessary facilitation.
For his part, Baakar highlighted the distinguished Syrian-Yemeni relations and the importance of benefiting from promising investment opportunities in both countries, commending the efforts of the Syrian Investment Authority in supporting joint cooperation.
The meeting comes as part of joint efforts to expand economic and investment cooperation between Syria and Yemen and support development opportunities serving mutual interests.
