60 French Ships Stalled in Arabian Gulf, Red Sea Amid Military Escalation

Paris, March 6 (SANA) French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot announced Friday that 60 French ships are currently stalled in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea due to escalating military tensions in the region.

Reuters quoted Tabarot as saying that 52 French ships are in Gulf waters and eight are in the Red Sea, with French sailors aboard several vessels. He added that authorities are maintaining constant contact with crews and taking multiple measures to ensure safe navigation and protect personnel.

Navigation through the Strait of Hormuz has been disrupted amid the ongoing military escalation involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, leading to interruptions in global energy markets.
