Damascus, Feb. 11 (SANA) — The Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce held talks with a delegation of Turkish business leaders on expanding economic partnerships and developing avenues of joint cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, held Wednesday at the federation’s headquarters, Adviser to the Federation’s President Anas al-Bou and Director of its Center for Economic Studies and Research Mohammad Ghazal outlined available investment opportunities in Syria, key productive sectors and the facilities offered by the government to attract investors and provide a more flexible and encouraging business climate.
Members of the Turkish delegation expressed readiness to extend various forms of support to help advance Syria’s economy, particularly in the fields of petroleum derivatives, health services, water desalination and reconstruction.
The meeting comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries and to open new horizons for partnership between Syrian and Turkish private-sector enterprises.
