Damascus, Feb. 17 (SANA) The Ministry of Interior announced Monday that internal security units in Aleppo dismantled an organized criminal network specialized in forging security and military identification cards and circulating them among civilians.
In a statement, the ministry said the operation followed sustained field monitoring and systematic surveillance, enabling security units in Aleppo to track the group’s activities and identify the location used as a base for their illicit operations.
The ministry added that security forces raided the site and arrested all five members of the network. Authorities also seized advanced technical equipment and specialized tools used to produce forged documents, along with counterfeit stamps and a number of ready-to-distribute fake identification cards.
