Damascus, SANA – Several Egyptian companies are present at the 62nd Damascus International Fair, representing economic companies specialized in food, chemicals, wood, and construction materials.
According to Hatem Fouad, director of the Egyptian pavilion, these companies seek to open new cooperation avenues and establish strategic partnerships with Syrian companies.
Fouad told SANA that 10 Egyptian companies are participating this year, noting that many other companies wanted to participate, but time inconvenience prevented them from attending.
The fair represents an important opportunity to expand the cooperation between Egypt and Syria, Fouad added, calling on Syrian companies to participate in upcoming Egyptian exhibitions to enhance trade.
Mohamed El Tagoury head of Egyptian Tagoury’s House Company specialized in house materials said that the participation of his company aim to build partnerships with Syrian companies.
He also saw the fair as a fundamental platform for the new Syria to regain its position in the Arab region after a period of isolation.
