Daraa, March 12 (SANA) An art exhibition opened at the Arab Cultural Center in Daraa as part of the “Days of Fine Arts and Arabic Calligraphy” organized by the Daraa Culture Directorate.
The exhibition features around 26 paintings inspired by Hauran heritage, local landscapes, and notable figures, alongside works documenting key moments in the Syrian revolution from 2011 to the liberation in December 2024.
The pieces highlight daily life and the simplicity of the local community through expressive use of color and form.
Suleiman al-Zoubi, Director of Culture in Daraa, highlighted the Directorate’s commitment to supporting diverse forms of cultural and artistic creativity and providing new platforms for artists and writers.
Through initiatives like the “Days of Fine Arts and Arabic Calligraphy,” the Directorate seeks to strengthen cultural and artistic activity, support local artists, and help preserve and celebrate the governorate’s unique cultural identity.
