Damascus, SANA – The temperatures will remain below average by 2 to 5 degrees as the country is affected by a superficial high air pressure accompanied by northwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that the skies will be clear in general with some scattered clouds, while during the night the weather will be cold, and frost is expected to form over the mountains and in most inland areas.
The winds will be northeasterly of low to moderate speed, and the sea waves will be low in height.
The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 15/2, Quneitra 14/1, Homs 17/1, Hasaka 20/3, Lattakia 25/9 and Aleppo 16/2.
